1. Confirm protection is enabled
Open WagerLock and check that protection is enabled with a future end time. A successful installation or an open app window is not the same as an active blocking duration.
The blocking service starts automatically with Windows, but it still needs an active duration and current trial or paid access. If the service is unavailable, running the current signed installer can repair the installation. Save your work and close WagerLock before updating it.
2. Check the access period
Protection ends at the earlier of your chosen end time or the end of trial/paid access. Check your website account for billing details. Starting checkout is not proof that checkout completed or that the app has received current access.
Canceling renewal does not immediately discard a current paid period. Protection can continue until that period ends, provided your protection duration is still active. If either boundary has passed, you need valid access and an active duration to continue.
3. Fully restart the browser
Close every window of the browser, then reopen it. Browser policies and existing connections can remain in use after a tab refresh. Repeat this for each browser or profile you use.
Check that an ordinary website works too. That helps distinguish a gambling-specific refusal from a general internet connection failure. Read the Chrome, Edge and Firefox setup checks.
4. Recognize a coverage gap
A browser VPN or proxy extension, an unsupported app, an unlisted domain or an administrator change can bypass this release. An ordinary VPN application and a browser-specific VPN can route traffic differently. An enabled status is not a guarantee that every one of those routes is covered.
If one site still loads, record its domain, browser, WagerLock version and whether a VPN is running when seeking help. Do not share passwords, payment details or complete URLs containing private tokens. Reinstalling the desktop window alone does not fix every coverage gap.
Removing the desktop app leaves the blocking service installed. It does not extend an expired duration or subscription. See the protection explanation for the current boundaries.
